  1. Short:    CATALOGS files into an AmigaGuide document!

  6.      Do you happen to have a large collection of text files?  Are they
  7. stored  in  one central location with many seperating sub-directories?
  8. If  so,  then GuideCompiler may just be able to make your text viewing
  9. life  easier.   Why?  Well GuideCompiler will scan an unlimited amount
  10. of  source  directories  recursively  if required, and build up a nice
  11. looking  AmigaGuide  document  of  links  pointing to all the files it
  12. encounters.  All AmigaGuide files are linked using the AmigaGuide link
  13. instruction  for  easy  retracing back to the main guide and any other
  14. file  is  linked  to  a  user  defined  viewer.  If this viewer is not
  15. specified, GuideCompiler will use MultiView (if so OS3 required).
  16.      Using  a multi file viewer like MultiView or MegaView, means that
  17. GuideCompiler can be used for more than just text file compilation and
  18. it's really just up to you to find other uses for it.
  19.      GuideCompiler  produces  well  laidout  AmigaGuide documents that
  20. make  moving  through a directory tree and accessing files for viewing
  21. as easy as 1..2...3 :) Try it!!

  23.      NameStrip  1.0  is  also included in this archive and will scan a
  24. directory  tree and remove spaces from filenames, tidying them up.  It
  25. is  needed  with  GuideCompiler,  because it cannot handle files which
  26. have spaces in them!

  30. Version 1.2 Changes/Additions:

  32.  - No longer links AmigaGuide files to AmigaGuide program. Just calls from
  33.    within the destination guide itself. (E.G Link text:guide.guide/main)
  34.  - Now supports multiple source directories. (Suggested by Wangi) - Great!
  35.  - Fixed bug that would add .guide extension if destination specified had .Guide 
  36.    or .GuIde etc..Simple comparison change made to compare in uppercase only!
  37.    ( Again spotted by Wangi ) - Cheers mate :)
  38.  - Quite a major frontend change of the destination guide. More highlighting used.
  39.  - Better argument parsing routine added. Allows more expansion options.
  40.  - Now recognises the ? ANYWHERE on input stream. AmigaDos'ish :)
  41.  - Change in template to: SOURCE/M,DEST/K,ALL/S. For K directive all(?) of the 
  42.    forms of input are handled. E.G dest=guide dest guide dest= guide dest =guide.
  43.  - Added date and time to the destination guide. NODATE switch used to stop this.
